Is there any purpose to the color likes and dislikes?

I chose a color dislike for one of my sims and then was playing with the new designer career with a new sim I made. She happened to pick up a design job for the sim I made a dislike for and when the Design Sim asked his preferences it came up as the color he disliked. Pretty neat actually.
