Is there any purpose to the color likes and dislikes?
I have read in several locations that the color choices don't affect sims. Is there any purpose to the color likes and dislikes?

On the other hand a room, let alone house, all in the same color would be overkill. For example my favorite color is the bright green that is this website's background color. I wouldn't think of painting any of my rooms in that color, or choose the furniture in it.
For example In my home office I have the following items in bright green: Several document trays, a knickknack box, several CD cases, a pencil case, a pen sharpener, my keyboards' lights, a cat transport box (with a broken lock, no longer useable for transport, but they love to play/doze in it) and one of three blankets that go over the sofa in a monthly rotation. Then there's the bedroom nightstand lamp and a funky bookcase in the floor.
I feel that is a lot of green in one apartment, but the amount probably wouldn't satisfy a sim house owner during a gig.
