Is there any purpose to the color likes and dislikes?

As far as I can tell none of the likes & dislikes affect much of anything. They get more mood swings from the system but will still do the things that they don’t like regardless. Colours don’t even seem to affect their moods so in effect they are rather pointless gameplay wise. I do still think it’s nice to know what their favourite colour is though.
