Is there ANY way to get things out of Family Inventory easier?

If you have City Living the 'come and get it store table' can hold a lot of items, and you can keep the table itself in the sim's personal inventory or household inventory. A lot of collectibles can be stored here, including produce. I'm actually searching myself for a way to store pictures (from photography), mounted fish and other stuff that go on the walls.
