Is There Any Way to Place a Thermostat In a Dorm?

I do know how to access the cheat to enable making changes, but the last time I did that I got that very odd code that caused a failure to save. I seriously don't wish to go through all of that again....

@Jyotai I used the cheat not very long ago and it triggered some very weird code that caused a failure to save. Hence my question. How does one avoid that unhappy side effect of using the cheat?
