Is there anyway to save pet coats?

When you make a pet coat in CAP in C&D is there anyway at all to actually save the pets coat?

Like there is in sims 3 pets.

Either with the actual game or a mod or cheat if need be.

    This is very nice of you! I have tested this mod but sadly, it converts the coat into a clothing so we lose the details and realism of the painted job. Since it counts as clothes, the pet keeps its original coat on and you cannot put other clothing on the pet. The feature we had in the sims 3 would be perfect! You customized then saved it so you could use that pattern later. If there is a mod that allows to save, I would be happy too! But I couldn’t find one... :(
