Is this a mod or in game: I CAN edit my facial features in the mirror

I have not noticed this before, and i have had the game since release:
If I pick "Change Sim" in the mirror, I can change facial features (not only hair color / cut but lip shape, nose shape, ear shape, shin shape etc). But I still can't edit body type.

Not complaining, but I see no real reason why not go all the way: If I am "allowed" to completely replace my Sim's lips, I should be allowed to also completely replace her body. To me the distinction does not make sense. Either all or nothing, I feel.

    It's a base game feature, I believe it was added when they implemented the nonbinary options and ability to make transgender sims, so you could transition a sims features without needing a cheat

    The mirror is used to change the face, the dresser is used to change the body. I think. I don't recall if it actually allows shaping.

    Okay, I feel like a dumb now. I've been using cheats for years to alter a Sim's facial appearance. /facepalm

    I didn't know you could use the mirror for this until literally just now. This is very useful information to me.
