Is this cheating?

My supersim has become glitched. I literally spent years playing her. But now I keep getting last exception errors about her. This is due to jewellery from Crystal creations . I can revert back to a save before she started to create jewels. The problem is that was before she finished the horse riding aspirations and the crystal creation aspiration.

I want revert back to the save where I don't get last exception errors every time I start playing. I plan to use mccc to set those aspirations to finished. These are aspirations that she completed fair and square without any form of cheats in my gliched game. She won't get a single milestone she didn't earn before. So it would be fixing a bug, right? What would you do in such a case?

You don't need a mcc to finish an aspiration, all you need to do is type in your keyboard:

    Shift Ctrl C   Aspirations.Complete_Current_Milestone  Enter

This is actually in the Sims 4 game that most modders don't even know about.

Thanks for the info. I actually knew there was a cheat as well but find MCCC easier. It's more the principle I am considering, rather than the method to set the apsirations I already finished back.

I actually think I will. I will look through my back ups to see how close I can get to the moment before my sim got bugged and then start from there.

  • I say that is a far better choice than the one I routinely used when the sugar cane hit the fan. I would opt to RESTART the save, as in from the beginning. But, since you pointed out all things were earned, fair and square, and you're just resetting your Sim, I think it's just fine.  Go for it!

  • Definitely not cheating - she already earned it once. It's a shame she keeps glitching for you and you have to go back, but I would certainly give her back what she already gained.
