Well this is disheartening. You know, as buggy as it was, I was really crushed when they ended Sims 3, for which I had purchased darn near everything. I didn't buy 4 until it was on a huge sale and I didn't play it at all until Vampires came out. I've slowly gotten almost everything for it as well but I pretty much refused to buy any of it until it went on sale. And even though they did vampires and witches MUCH better than they were in 3 I have never been able to get over the loss of the open worlds in 3 and just the beautiful artwork that went into them and all the wonderful store worlds. The quality of all the little details just isn't here in 4 and most of us realize that. So I won't be surprised if this is the end.
In a perfect world we'd have a Sims 3 style game that actually worked with the artistic detail of Cyberpunk 2077. But even Cyberpunk has released with an incredible amount of bugs. The state of gaming, overall, is just pretty bad. All games release half finished and buggy. None of them manage to live up to their early promise. And misleading, even if not outright false, advertising is just a sign of how these companies that make them operate...and the low regard they hold their customers in.
