I started with Sims 1 when it was released and took a lot of breaks. Never was a problem for me.
When it's not fun - don't do it. It' s your free time. Spend it how you like.
I mean, I kind of am playing if I'm consistently pre-ordering expansion packs because they have features that excites me...I just haven't played live mode in a very long time, that's all. I know, I know, I haven't experience these features yet on my own but I know about them anyways because of information from the Sim Gurus, the Sims Wiki on Fandom, and Sims Community (you know, that one site). So yes, if I have to play around in CAS (I don't save the Sims to my Library or upload them to the Gallery, I just be dressing them up as if I'm playing a dress-up game) and browse the Gallery for right now, then that's okay. All of I know is that I'm not playing live mode at the moment because well...you know. ?
