Vampires are nice, they add plenty of new features and furniture (Aye, because gothic furniture are nice to play with). Another thing is that vampires allow you to create plenty of variation with additional options in CAS. Their fashion is not goofy and some are even looking so good on Sims.
I myself have been using the ears of vampire to make an Elf-ish human lol.

Kinda funny and awkward with the vampiric animation (specifically the rawr idle animation and the way she has to pick vampire weakness, lol) but with a few mod tweaks, she looks less vampiric.
