Ok but by that logic, an EP can never really be dedicated to a new world with a unique set of characters and features at all - like, as I would have wanted them to do it, a magical world.
with the magic pack, it very likely will expand the game further (if done properly), because occults can be played in any world. the main focus of Realm of Magic will most likely be witches, who will bring a new type of gameplay (magic) that can probably (fingers crossed lmao) exist in any world, like vampires aren't exclusive to Forgotten Hollow. it's still to a lesser degree than, say, Seasons (because not every player is as into lifestates as i am lol), but way beyond Island Living imo. vampires bring their own fleshed out perk system and unique gameplay wherever they go, witches will probably be the same, with potential for even more considering what they are.
Island Living's gameplay expands into other worlds with, like, sunbathing. mermaids a tiny bit, but i think they'd seem even more unfinished outside of Sulani, not sprouting a tail in hot tubs or kiddie pools, for example. maaaybe fish traps? don't get me wrong, i think the tanlines are a cool detail, and mermaids have been one of my most wanted lifestates. :/ i like what is there, but it feels incomplete in my opinion.
but i do agree that different players have different experiences and views of course.
