I payed (aussie) gamepack price for it so I'm happy-ish. I definitely agree it isn't worth more, and absolutely agree there is a lot missing.
What is weird though, is that when I am swimming and switch to first person view (hello, migraine), all the coral and fish are 3D. At first, because we couldn't dive down, I thought they were like 2D and the devs were trying to disguise it, but that's not the case. I don't get why our sims can't go underneath the water then, and why we can't move the camera underwater either. This is especially annoying for mermaids who, like other commenters said, should be able to live underwater.
That said, this is a nice world for photography, BB and CAS. I am at least happy with these aspects - as a cc-free builder (and mostly cc-free player), I get a lot of use out of these items.
Comparing IL to the other packs, I am still finding new things to do in both City Living (just discovered the fruit/veg stall so I can fake grocery shop), seasons and pets, whereas I have tried everything in IL. GTW (got for aliens, disapointed, their CAS still isn't like Vamps) and Get Together (clubs is only saving feature) I could do without more than IL though.
