I got this game on sale through CD Keys for $9 off which was kinda nice. I was cautious about the expansion because the announcement was rushed with only 2 weeks of hype. Then we got all the Q&A, early access info, and live-streams from Simgurus a couple days beforehand. Nonetheless, I bought it and I’ve enjoyed it. I’m not on the hype train that everything Ts4 has created is amazing. I have been an avid sim player since The Sims 2, but I see potential with this expansion. I wasn’t super thrilled about the level of content this time around. I also ran out of things to do after 2 sim days in-game.
As we’ve seen with the Sims 4 since launch, they’re doing something different with this line of the series. They’re treating it more like a service by providing huge free updates and doing almost monthly or every other month patches with new content ranging from clothing to careers to toddlers. I’m keeping that in mind. When they patch this game (which hopefully addresses some of the bugs), I wouldn’t be shocked if they don’t patch in something new that compliments this patch.
I would hold off on full judgment until the game is patched.
