I'm totally 100% with the op.
I think Island Living has been a huge disappointment and considering that it is classed as an expansion pack, it is not really worth the money.
Sims 3 was far more superior than Sims 4 in everything. Where are the hotels and hotel career? Why can't our sims explore under the water? I would have thought with todays technology, it would have been easier to add to Sims 4 than it was to Sims 3.
There was alot more to do and you got alot more in the packs for your money.
At least with Sims 3, the furniture matched and the windows and doors matched. I feel with Sims 4 we only get half the buildings as most of the time you get a door but not enough windows that match well enough to make a decent building.
The outfit colours do not match so putting together a decent outfit is, most of the time out of the question.
I feel with Sims 3, every release came complete and with everything we could need but not with Sims 4. We seem to be paying twice the amount for uncomplete packs.
I think maybe the makers are getting lazy and not really thinking the game through. The latest patch and Island Living have brought more glitches than ever which are making the game almost unplayable.
I wish they had kept Sims 3 going instead of rushing out with Sims 4 as Sims 4 has been nothing but a disappointing step back, in my humble opinion.
We get told about how many things are being released and what the patches are going to bring but time and time again they bring nothing but disappointed and aggravation.
I am dreading to think how the new witches pack will be if Island Living is anything to go by.
Pretty worlds do not make interesting game play.
