I'm okay with the choices made of what to have and not have - it suits my personal playstyle and priorities. I can see where for some other players who have different priorities or playstyles it would feel lacking. I'd feel the same if it all the gameplay were ocean-based (vs. island-based) or if it were a vacation destination.
