Re. the Game Changer embargo time (see the bottom of page 7):
This has been roughly similar timing as other recent packs. The whole-week-before patching seems less a thing now. But Game Changers get pack access when the patch is live, and what they can show in advance helps some players decide if they want to buy at launch or wait (as does whatever Maxis does for livestreams). It makes for a wealth of good on-time info :)
Re. that upcoming livestream:
I've got a deadline Friday & event tickets for Thursday evening so I'm not going to be covering new info from the livestream this time around.
Re. the patch:
I'll be starting a thread down in the Mods area of the forums to gather info on broken & updated mods and CC. For new players reading this, it's normal with a patch, especially a pre-pack patch and especially especially a pre-EP patch, for mods and CC to become no longer compatible with the game code they "speak" to. Here and on SimsVIP you'll find tracking of what mods and CC are reported to be broken, what mods their creator confirms are not broken, and what's been updated, with links to the updated files. Please back up your saves before patching, and don't save your game when the CC is not working or you'll have a lot of CAS time to put in. Many players play on mod-free, CC-free saves while waiting.
