I didn't see any links between this and romance, honestly, but thinking on it now - an English country village is a nice place for a picnic... And it reminds me of the description of the 'Proper' trait that came in Snowy Escape, that those people like 'courting' rather than overt romantic gestures. Maybe a courting system, sort of along the lines of regency romance, might be coming? It's not exactly what I want from a romance update, but it would be interesting and better than nothing.
Honestly I'm torn because I really want horses and think they'd fit better in this pack than romance, and if they do all three it might mean everything's shallower than I want it to be...but if they do farming/rural life, horses and romance well, I'd be ECSTATIC with this pack.
I think you said you are English like me though and we don't tend to think of our own places as romantic or tourist destination worthy. My American partner thinks those little villages are very romantic. And Americans think my little town in MI is a great tourist spot whereas to me the woods and clean lakes are just .. home. I could see it being attached to romance and if it meant that fairies came in their own pack and not lumped into an EP, I'd be all for it!
That's true. I guess people just think of travelling as romantic. It's hard to be romantic about the place you live and take out the bins and stuff :D Like I say, some romantic tea parties and picnics wouldn't be something I'd be averse to. Maybe that's why they're bringing the calendar to the base game, so you can make a date - not just drop everything you're doing and go out immediately when someone phones you.- Rey_Estupendo4 years agoRising Ace

LoL! I missed her in nightlife. I hate her and love her at the same time when she trying to sabotage your sims dates.
I mean ... the sims already in the game do a boffo job of sabotaging other people's dates just by trying to turn every date into a group conversation. - Monet114 years agoSeasoned Ace
Before I get any kind of excited about an EP, let me think of how this could still go down: Maybe sims just go to visit the Crumplebottom farm, instead of doing any actual farming. Maybe they just stay at a lovely little bed and breakfast and buy fresh eggs and milk. Maybe they just buy Crumplebottom Jams and Jellies. Maybe it's just a destination world. - There have to be chickens. The town is Henford, and 11/04/2019 is national chicken lady day (not a day about chickens, but when did the sims 4 ever go that deep)
- God I hope not. Future and sim bots please.
- Karamazov1234 years agoSeasoned AceM-maybe the reason why we got only one GP last year, and why DHD was so small for a GP, was because they were saving money to make farm animals? And Kits were made to hopefully cover the costs ahead of time, meaning they gave the EP a bigger budget than usual. They knew how angry the fandom has been and how popular farms are, so they did everything they could to ensure the pack's success.
I doubt it, but I can dream. - janyses4 years agoSeasoned AceI think this pack will have horses, finally.

That's funny because I actually was wondering the exact same thing, with the lack of significant gameplay in the DHD pack, like most GPs have, I also wondered if they were trying to steal some budget from the GP to have more for the EP since obviously they've been working on them simultaneously.
I doubt it, but it would be awesome if it were true and would help make up for a lot people not being happy with the lack of "gameplay" in the GP. "Jennifer_;c-17903156" wrote:
Looks like a watermill on the right?
I've been wanting one of those since we had one in TS3. There is one in Windenburg on top of a hill but it's unplayable. It's above a waterfall."Reedfish;c-17903289" wrote:

With Miss Crumplebottom returning there might be new romance options. I hope so.
