If this is the best version of seasons ever with the seasons being the most detailed and intricate, how does the lack of heavy snow fit in with that? Snow lacking depth doesn’t scream intricate detail.
Of they going to say that because they have to somehow believe in thier product if they do not and customers see even the developer is not positively talking about thier product, they may lose customers. For some I think it is goes beyond the snow debacle for they may see something that others do not see and it may not pertain just to this pack but the packs that are coming.
It's PR spin, I get it.
But I don't think it's a wise choice of words when in the same breath he has just said they left heavy snow fall out by choice but the seasons are the most intricate and it's the best seasons ever.
Sims 2 had heavy snow for crying out loud, a game that came out in 2004. The only new thing for the sims 4 so far is the thermostat capabilities. Everything else so far the sims 2 had.
Oh I agree it is not and I laughed when I saw that.
By the way the same Head producer and many on his team also worked on Sims 2 and 3 - also as a producer and developer - so he is not just pulling rabbits out of a hat - he must know the amount of work each Seasons game was and the work it entailed. He also worked on all three pets eps. The difference is each of the series had different software from the ground up they had to work with and there in probably is the issue why Sims 2 or 3 had things Sims 4 can't have. The game developers haven't control of what goes into the mechanics of the engine and the software it entails they must use. So comparing the 3 games and expecting what they offered in this one plus even more is a bit unfair and unrealistic.
It's one thing to just be a player of these games - it's a whole other thing to be the ones working to build the game with every 5 or 6 years everything they'd be doing with their game completely changes and they have to repeat many basic life simulations in a whole new format. They are very much under the thumb of new technology and control - so keep that in mind.
