I can honestly say snow depth was one of the things I was looking forward to the most. I love seeing my sims trudging through deep snow in Sims 3. This is really going to make me question getting the pack, for this lacking feature specifically and now wondering what else has been cut for other features that in the end are boring and useless. I am more than disappointed, but not super surprised. :(
