Better yet, the calendar is back, so its not just officially week 1, 2, 3, 4 day 1-7 but a particle day of the month and year. Also you can create your own holidays, this will also open up days that school is not in session, and sims don't have to work. I am pretty sure the snow days are back, but the calendar with creating your own holidays you can pick which days school will be open or closed.
