I have not read the thread. But I had to come here and voice my extreme displeasure surrounding this issue. When I watched the trailer for seasons, in the winter sections, something looked off. I couldn't pinpoint it. I then saw elsewhere someone commenting on the lack of snow depth. And it clicked. The winter scenes didn't look right and this was why. And with Grant's response, which, seems to indicate they just couldn't get it right (to their standards) left it alone. Well, okay, but now you have players saying they want snow depth. I feel an honorable studio would look at this and say, "Oh, we got this wrong" and try to fix the situation. And, before anyone comments on it-- no, this is not about having the game have the best graphic's possible. It is the fact that having the snow be a thin white sheet on the ground looks ODD. Snow is the most identifiable element of winter, and I am shocked it was deemed acceptable to essentially have white spray paint be the representation of the snow on the ground. I mean, really? And, let's not forget, Grant is talking about standards, but somehow the toddler ball pit got shipped... What is going on over there? The decisions being made are bonkers.
