I agree, it’s too easy to get rich however you play. I don’t allow money trees anymore. I do gardening for my own enjoyment, they rarely sell the produce, it just builds up and they’re still loaded. We don’t have enough big things to spend money on. This is the top reason why I want cars. If they could blow 300K on a sports car as a status symbol that would help. But first they are probably going to go through cheaper cars and it adds to the challenge when families are just starting out.
If we had to buy clothes I bet I would spend a lot of money that way too, and have something to show for it. It would add more depth to have sims be unable to afford the designer looks they want. And then it’s that much more satisfying when your sim can wear the fancy outfits.
