I am sure that there will be no stains appearing on things, your eyes will be quite safe. There will be no corks popping out all over the place. There may well be a thick green smog over the neighbourhoods, but you can always pretend we now have weather :p
Yeh, but your Sims wouldn't physically stick corks in them - it would be assumed that they are corked.
I don't mind them popping when off the lot - just not on my lot or on a lot that my Sims are on like the park, nightclub, etc - but I don't mind the corks popping after they leave a particular lot.
