What I have liked, and want to see more of is what Jungle Adventure did with it's rabbit hole..., I'm not sure what to call it.
The part where your sims cut down the barrier to the next area. You have these little events where you have to make a choice.
The best choice depends on how prepared your sims is. Do they have the right equipment? Is a particular skill's level high enough?
Are they in the right emotional state. So much better than, "Do you want to go left or right?"
Actually some of the "story quests" in Journey to Batuu use this same feature. You have the option to "prepare" by collecting a few things to take with you that are recommended. Once you go on your mission (these are 'flight' missions where you leave in a ship and exist in the rabbit hole while it plays out), you're presented with popups that describe what's happening and give you options if you prepared and have the applicable items. The outcome depends on your choices, at least to some extent.
To be fair though, of the 35 or so missions in this pack, maybe 6 of them are presented that way. And even in those, the difference in outcome based on your choices is minimal.
There is so much more they could have done with this to make it more engaging. Not their best showing, by far.
