My sim reached the temple and only has a few hours left of vacation. I don't plan to extend the vacation. When she returns, will the areas she cleared still be open, or will she need to cut the vines again? Note, I am playing a rotation. Not sure if that affects it.

Once you leave the vacation the vines will reset. The good side is that there is a reasonable chance that some of the gates that had doors will now have only vines so you will be able to visit places you couldn't before The whole jungle resets (including the temple, there are several versions of it), making each vacation a reasonably fresh experience.

This is one of the reasons why JA is my favourite GP.

I got JA on release, and I can't believe that I have not explored the jungle more! I hardly reached the temple and met a skeleton, but did not try to solve any quests and probably have not yet seen half the locations. My sims tend to hang around their vacation home or at the market and taverna, meeting locals, and most of them have only 1-2 days which is obviouls too short. I guess it's time to start a separate JA save ;)

I so love Jungle Adventure. I so wish my sims could actually live there instead of vacation; especially for my Tarzan & Jane.

Me too! Well, I don't have a Tarzan & Jane, but I do have a save with a lot of sims who are supposed to be Selvadorada natives. Needless to say, I have to play pretend even more than usual with that one. :lol:

I’m with you folks who want a residential Selvadorada!
It’s one of my favorite worlds. My sims spend an awful lot of time there.
I also wish that river was swimmable. Alligators welcome! ?

Oooo yeah! You never know there's been some speculation about more swimmable worlds recently.

I really miss the giant quid from Sims 3.
