When my Sim authenticates an artifact for the museum, as soon as I click mail back I get paid. So if your not getting paid immediately I'd say something is wrong. Not sure what but I would start by making sure my mods and CC are current and repairing my game. Hope you get this fixed my Sim gets $3500-$4000 per artifact.
