Jungle trekking with pets? And strays?!
So I got both the Pets expansion and the jungle pack this month and I am trying it out now in my main game save and so far I really like it. The jungle thing, I still haven't made judgement on the pet...

You can bring the cat with you. The pet bed, the litter box, the food bowl and the toys are all portable. I usually bring the ones from home with my Sim on the trip, but the vendors in the marketplace can sell you those items.
One word of caution. Before you leave on vacation, visit the vet and buy 4-5 wellness treats from the vending machine. Once you navigate through the jungle, your cat may randomly take off and go play in the woo hoo bushes on the trail that leads toward the temple. If you go for four days, it's a safe bet your cat will get sick from a squirrel bite or something else at least once. And if you have to take your cat to the vet, you just ended your vacation early and there's no refund for lodging.
