It is good to hear everything is fixed. I've heard a number of horror stories about antivirus just deciding something is bad and taking action all by itself. I also have few programs that tend to get flagged generally or everytime the antivirus updates. So I have spent plenty of time troubleshooting some issues myself.
If I had to wager a guess, it may well have fiddled with something, but so long as it is fixed all is good. I've forgotten several of the specifics of white listing programs with various antiviruses, but it may be worthwhile to look into your specific's policy on white listing.
