I'm really looking forward to this. I want to set up for it.. have a smallish home party or just use the calendar to have visitors or scary movie night and play the spooky music and decorate (with or without little kids in my sims home). I really want to see how many NPC kids come to my sims door. I hope it most of them show up if your set up for it. I can see blocking a week off for this holiday alone. I wonder if you can interact with them or invite them in also? Hmmm...
I may have to replay some ghost households so they can scare the trick or treaters. So many ideas.
You're giving me ideas. I'm thinking I might start a new save and turn one of the worlds into a Halloween world, dress everyone in Halloween costumes, have lots of ghosts "living" there, and make every day Halloween. We need someone to make a mod so we can egg and teepee houses. >:)
I was thinking of doing that to Forgotten Hollow. It is small; but already has that dark and spooky feel and maybe create or add some Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride sims to live there. The only issue would be where to move the Vampires.
I was thinking that would be the best place, too. I've seen some Corpse Bride CC somewhere. I'm going to have to look for that. It would be perfect for a Halloween neighborhood.
I have some CC for the Corpse Bride and saved a few sims. It was since early on in the Sims 4 release, I can't remember where I got some of CC from or it is still out. I am assuming it is still around though. I suggest checking out The Sims Resource as that where I may got some of items from. - ClassicalSim17 years agoSeasoned Ace

When I was young, it was safer and so much fun, but the world was a much safer place then in general. Now, though, it isn't safe to let your kids go to strangers houses and ask for candy.
The world wasn't any safer then than it is now. We just didn't talk about things then and social media wasn't a thing. People got hurt, kidnapped, and murdered then too. Just a quick google search and you will find a lot of terrible things happened then and now. Kids just need to be aware of their surroundings and go with their gut feeling. I talk a lot about this with my own kids and they know what to look for and what they should do if they feel uncomfortable in any situation.
Anyways I think it's a little sad that our sim kids can't partake in trick-or-treating. It was my favorite holiday as a kid and even as an adult I love dressing my kids up and taking them around the neighborhood. It's so much fun. - TheLittleThings37 years agoNew VeteranI'm probably on my own with this one but I actually enjoyed it more in TS3 when kids came to my house, rather than when I tried to take my kids to other houses. I guess them coming to my house was a small thing that didn't take much time but added to the immersion. It also didn't involve the frustration of nobody being in and then it getting too late to stay out. Would still have been nice if they had found a way to make it work in TS4 though.
- I really hope we can shoo our kids to go trick or treating in a rabbit hole in S4. Since they already do it for one action, volunteering, it shouldn't be too hard right? Either way I'm so happy this is here and it makes my impulse spooky pack buy months ago justified X3
- janyses7 years agoSeasoned Ace@Dannydanbo I'm sure that most of us would prefer non-rabbithole trick or treating, but since that's not possible, a rabbithole would be like a last resort. Most of our careers are rabbitholes and it doesn't stop people from asking for more. It's better than not having the experience at all.
- The option is in the event calendar for holiday goals. Kids that knock on your door and you can give them candy.

Oh well, I'm creating a haunted house in FH and will be taking my kids there for halloween.
The Estate in Windenburg is already haunted so if you decorated it for Halloween and threw a party there, your sims might get a fright. The maze could be really spooky at night with weird lighting and fog from the Spooky Day tombstones scattered around. And if you through in the weather machine to add lightning and thunder, you got a spooky house.
This is an amazing idea.- it sucks that our sims cant go trick or treating but at least we can dress up in costumes and give out candy to children :D
