I love that sims automously wash their hands. I tried the sims 3 and one of the things I hated was that my sims never washed their hands after using the bathroom.
Sims with certain traits do. Which means traits matter and form personalities. I love that, being able to choose whether my sims do that or not. And if it really bothers you, you can simply direct them to the sink and they will wash their hands. It’s just really lame for me when the game dictates things. If there’s something I hate: that.
The first time I saw Tank Grunt jump up and clean the kitchen in TS2, it freaked me out. Then I realized it was related to his personality points. I think you're on to something about the Traits.
