It should be trait related but no, all the sims are basically programmed to do the same things. What irritates me is that they provided a pack (Parenthood) that gives us a choice to make a kid responsible or irresponsible but it is nearly impossible to actually get irresponsible because of all the autonomous actions. I tried to make Max Villareal irresponsible (the kid is supposed too be evil!) but you had to constantly be on him to try to undo all the responsible actions he would do autonomously - I finally gave up. I have yet to be able to get an irresponsible child so I have never even been able to experience how that plays out when they are older. Our sims stories are supposed to be our choice but they rarely are.
I agree there,I have to fight really hard to get my children and teens to be irresponsible. The only sure proof way I’ve come up with is to have them skip school as a teen.
In sims 2 and 3 sims would only wash their hands and clean automatically if they had the best trait or had high level neatness in the sims 2. It was drawn to the sims personality. In 4 I do find all my sims have the same basic programs.
