I'm not having this "issue" in my game. Some kids clean some don't. They leave dishes after they are through eating and I have to tell them to clean it up. They leave toys on the floor which the parents will normally put up. Messes made on the floor by kids aren't automatically cleaned up either unless they are told to. Also children can learn from watching. I can remember seeing my parents clear away the table after dinner and when I could reach the sink, I did the same thing without them telling me to do it. I just followed their example. Either way if a sim is through eating no matter what the age they should either put the dishes in the sink, dishwasher but don't just leave it there for it to start emitting green stuff.
