Is this something has changed in the last four years?
No, I don’t remember it ever being any different. I don’t have Bust the Dust and it didn’t just start happening with that kit release.
The autonomy for all sims just feels samey and repetitive. But to me, it’s especially noticeable in children when they are guests in someone else’s home. I have my kids try to engage with them, but given a spare moment they will go take out the garbage.
If not trait related then maybe mod related? Because honestly this never happened in my game and has to be a thing these past three years.
Whenever it’s happened, the first thing I considered was the kid’s trait, and that wasn’t it.
My use of mods is way more recent, and out of desperation over annoying stuff like this. That sounds dramatic but I have no better way to phrase it. ETA: The main reason I avoided using mods before 2021 is because I wanted to know whether something I experienced was a legitimate bug or not. LOL, like it has made any difference. After 6.5 years, it was time for me to get some mods or completely stop playing. But to be fair, I don’t talk about bugs unless I know it’s been happening before or without mods. (Not saying this is a bug, btw, just more thoughtless autonomy.)
ETA2: But if it wasn’t something that happened in the game, there would be no reason for anyone to make a mod dictating that children would stop these cleaning interactions unless it suited their trait.
