I don't think the scared emotion is a problem for me. So far the big problem is as others have said, that all sims are afraid of whatever the devs have decided is scary rather than having individuality. I shouldn't have to choose between sims fearing storms or loving them, there should be a neutral option that should be more common than terrified. Storm chaser should be for sims who actually love stormy weather, not every sim I want to stop overreacting to every storm. The scared emotion isn't really any more annoying in that way than the tense emotion was before.
