Kit Packs sound like Stuff Packs, only called 'kit' instead.It's just another way to wrangle money out of us. Basically they've run out of themes so they're going to do a few things at a time and they're going to charge a few bucks at a time and slowly crank up the price.That, or the kits will get smaller and smaller until we're paying £5 for each item or upgrade. It looks big now, but mark my words it'll get much smaller. They'll stop releasing Stuff Packs now, and only release Game Packs and Expansion Packs. Then they'll release Expansion Packs the size of Game Packs. It'll cost a fortune. Of course if we stop buying in protest they'll just stop making.

I think that kits are going to be more niched items that wouldn't fit into an actual pack (or they are things that "would have" gone into a pack and got pulled out of the pack because it didn't really fit, and because they've already paid for these assets they decided to just market them in a new way so they still reap some coin for the cost of having the asset made).The other thing is, there are a lot of players who buy packs just for the CAS/BB items and not the featured game play (Vampires, Batuu, RoM, etc), so maybe this will be their way of giving players a choice of buying just "stuff" instead of the entire pack they're not really interested in.It could also be a way for them to add more things players have asked for without having to create an entire pack around itInstrumentsKids activitiesElder activitiesFarm items (chicken coop, milking cow, etc)It's also possible that it will end up being beneficial, maybe by taking out a bunch of objects from packs and selling them separately it will free them up to make the big packs beefier with more gameplay, since they can eliminate a lot of the "stuff".Only time will tell.I'm not 100% opposed to it because it's not mandatory to buy any of them.

I think kits are one theme/room/category with like 12 or 13 items or objects all fitting within that theme. Take the country kitchen. It's only a kitchen set with one theme. Or the retro sportswear also one category/theme and comes with like 8 outfits. Then we have bust the dust which is vacuuming. It comes with a few different vacuums and gameplay. Smaller than a stuff pack related to one theme and category. I still think we will get stuff packs as well. The kits will be more frequent than the other three types of packs to tide people over until bigger packs are released.

I think the team who used to make Stuff packs are now the team making Kit Packs.

Dude, they are not replacing stuff packs.The regular stuff packs are now mini game packs.Base on skill, job, and quest.

Seems like since the stuff packs were becoming more fleshed out these are the new mini stuff packs--I'm hoping the original stuff packs will stay the same price and still have more content (like paranormal did). To me, super niche packs make sense, just not sure why they waited so long to implement. Game Packs are still my favorite, so hopefully those are still a thing.

If I'm any judge of EA, Game Packs will become the size of Paranormal Stuff but remain the same high price. Paranormal Stuff was big for a stuff pack but in no way was it Game Pack size.

And Stuff Packs will simply no longer be made. Maybe they've got one waiting for release. Or maybe they'll divvy it up and release it as kits.

After all of EA's demonstrations of how they love to rip us off, why does anybody have any faith in them?

If i would speculate i'ld say that all 4 dlc types will still be developed for 1 or 1 and a half years.

Slowly, bigger pack' teams will be transfered to sims 5 development team while the small kits' team will still be releasing bits of content here and there even after sims 5 announcement...

Haha that's why i don't like to speculate much...

What i won't speculate, specially because we're just a few days away of knowing for sure, is the price of the kits...

honestly? I think EA just got mad that their stuff packs started to deliver actual content so they had to come up with way to go back to luxury party stuff level of content while being sneaky like "hey lets call it kit so they never notice we did that cause there is no expectations for this new pack type"

actually now that we talk about it yeah, luxury party is indeed kit how about you upgrade all those stuff packs to being actual stuff packs with some content now [:
