Kit Packs: Yay or Nay?

I so love my new Courtyard Oasis Kit. It's like a small stuff pack. Very good, keep up the good work devs & bravo.

Heavy nay. With them splitting content even further it's basically microtranscactions in disguise and the pricing is off as they usually are with microtransactions. More money, less content (i.e. great deal for EA, less so for the customer). The only case in which I could maybe consider buying a kit is if it was very specifically catered to my interests and focused on gameplay. The whole Bust the dust or whatever it's called seems more substantial than the rest but I personally have ZERO interest for that subject matter.

I'm just sick to death of the cash grab DLCs that should have already been included in other packs.

I have the first 3 kits and plan to get the 4th one, but I do wish they had made the vacumn like laundry..... so that houses would not get dirty if you don’t have a vacuum cleaner. I wish they would change it, I would enjoy it much better. I play a vanilla game, so I enjoy the extra packs. I would have liked to see stuff packs continue each month something else wasn’t released because I loved a little bit of each... new furniture, new hairs, new clothes, and a special item. I was sad to see that nerfed.

See, it doesn’t bother me that it adds up. A simple breakfast at McDonalds these days costs $10 almost...... I’d rather use that money for things for my sims game.

I’m working so yeah I can buy them but for younger simmers they have to ask an adult or carer permission to but I know in the UK it’s like £4.99 pretty cheap but then you have a game pack that comes out then a stuff pack and an expansion pack it all adds up. When I was a kid I would never been able to get everything coz of the cost

To me, it depends on the content. 5$ is a very affordable price, but so far 1 kit out of 4 was worth it in my eyes.
I purchased Bust the dust for the gameplay aspect, and yes 5$ is a tiny bit too pricey in my eyes considering the content of kits, but I would much rather add gameplay and not CAS/build items.
I do think the kits content is cute, I would definetly enjoy having the items in my game, but not for 5$. I believe they should have added the items to bigger packs.

I'm fine with it if it means making content that otherwise wouldn't happen. I wouldn't want to see kits become the only option but it looks like a way that they keep certain production teams busy while they are working on the bigger packs.

As a player, I think it's fine to offer these at a lower price. I also do not feel the need to get them all, if they don't appeal to me, I can ignore them. I recently got two after a break, the kitchen one and the Moroccan one. I already mixed some Moroccan decor into a house I was playing and replaced the old kitchen with the country kitchen one.

At this stage, I think that players are different enough that it makes sense to offer niche content in a way that is lower cost and probably lower risk for them. It's also probably a way that they are testing audiences for content.

Per above, I do not feel the need to get every single kit. I also think it makes sense that if the price is higher in some countries that it might be less appealing. I think they are still making stuff packs but this is probably a way to separate out some things that people might just buy for the decor or clothing from gameplay. I'm very interested in gameplay, I just do like the option to customize ... or not.

I haven't bought any so far but I might in the future depending on the content. I like the new Kit but I'm not really a builder so probably wouldn't get much use out of it.

I just realised I posted already in this thread. I said at the time that I liked the Country Kitchen Kit. I didn't buy it either though.

Coming back to this question after a few months and still a full No for me.
