Knitting? What the...

I must say if we're getting a knitting pack because that's what people voted for I will be extremely disappointed. It will be like the Eco Living pack people sabotaged by demanding Laundry Only.

But I do find my tastes for this game run pretty the opposite of most people, it seems. I LOVE Island Living and City Living and LOATHE making magic and everything supernatural in general.
A Science heavy pack would have been amazing.

That's my point, yes. I truly hope there are some good clothes coming with it, or it will be of zero interest.

People are starving for new activities/hobbies, that has nothing to do with electronics and going out. Sims4 is quite the young adult life simulator millenial game. A lot of people want family content and a generations kind of pack, that has something for every age groupe, because
The lifestages are probably like

objects
toodlers
kids
young adults with homeworks
young adults
young adults with wrinkles
pre-death


In 2019 they didnt add a lot for kids/toodlers/teenagers/elders specific things. Island living was the only EP that had a focus on family gameplay with every age group. Allowing toodlers to play in the ocean water and such. When it comes down to the patches, we had a few clothes and hairstyles that were converted... No new mechanics or gameplay.

so of course a description like:

''teach others how to knit... and create stuff for the whole family'' will lure the family/generation players, which is really big...

Thats true and also sims 3. Its always ''We want Generation like in the sims3'' We want a hobbies pack with sewing, like in the sims2''. Basically a Sims 2 with the graphic of the sims 4.

@Beardedgeek These clothes better be REALLY good, given that I use CC :)

@PreCiious well I might be the target audience for that, seeing how I only find YA and A lifestages worthwile to begin with. I always age up kids and toddlers ASAP and just tolerate teens because I want good traits. I also always kick elderly sims out of the household.

@ArcherDK I don't. I got fed up with badly functioning CC in Sims 3 and has to date never downloaded a single piece of custom content for Sims 4. The only mod I am using, period, is MCCC.

Edit: And yes, I still want a proper Eco Living pack, with a functioning off the grid (for ECO reasons, NOT for conspiracy nut prepper reasons like in Island living), working solar panels that lowers bills, that concept art of the washing machine exercise bike (especially now when we HAVE bike animations) and more...

I think the family players want knitting in their dolls houses. It leaves me cold, but they are vocal if not a majority.

I am curious how this will be implemented. I mean there is no scenario I can see where the actual act of knitting won't be fast forwarded thru, just like cooking, painting, wood-working, programming, writing...

edit: Yeah... I seem to be stuck in the middle between the "Everything Must Be Supernatural and as unrealistic as possible" crowd and the "I need more boring chores" crowd. Neither packs appeal to me, and the ones I DO like nobody on the forums seems to like.
