I am glad EA implements a free 48-hour trial period of The Sims 4. The lack of matching and customisable build-mode objects is what made me decide to not buy the game after much hesitation.
The coziness of a room with dark brown wooden panels or baseboards is broken when the trims around the doors and windows are either white or any other unmatching colour. Sure i could use dark wooden windows in some cases, but then it limits my creativity with the exteriors of the house since they are the same on both sides. Windows befitting an old peasant cottage have no place on the kinds of grand and luxurious buildings i enjoy creating. The beautiful friezes and other exterior decorations are fabulous and would have been very appreciated if it had not been for the lack of customisation options.
The TS4 CAS
+ TS3 object customisation (A colour wheel is all i ask for!!)
+ TS4 construction tools
+ TS3 vast open world
= what would have been the greatest simulation game ever.
I don't want the uncontrollable imperfections of the real world to follow me into a game that is supposed to be a splendid virtual reality for me to dive into for a couple of half a dozen hours at a time.
