I agree. Doesn't make sense for them to put it in this pack when the focus is not vacations.- Skiing - Not actually - there was a snowboard in Sims 1 and Sims 3 and other snow activity. I used to love using a metal detector in Sims 1 winter lodge and my sims would go out finding treasure with the machine buried in the snow. Kids could find little toys sometimes. But there was no skiing. In Sims 1 they had a ton of stuff to do though but it was not a huge place so that would be my guess why there wasn't skiing. Seems I recall some sims walking around with ski poles and snow shoes - but I don't recall our Sims being able to have them. They may have had them and I just never got to that - lol. Sims 1 version was real expensive for my Sims and their stays were very limited. Plus time moved so fast in that series it was hard to do everything.

I would gladly give up the dolphin, after going through the pie of interactions, you are pretty much done with that feature. How long will the thrill last of feeding the dolphin, talking to the dolphin, naming the dolphin , petting the dolphin, snooze.
I completely agree with this. Yes dolphins are cute but the excitement of them would wear off. I would have much rather had hotels, which I've been waiting ages for with an island expansion, so although i am excited about this, i am a little disappointed. The novelty wouldn't wear off with me, much like restaurants and bars i still love. There is so much you can do with a hotel and i love building them.- DoloresGrey6 years agoSeasoned AceI agree. They could make at least one lot rentable (just like in JA and OR).
- kiarasims4mods6 years agoSeasoned AceAwful, Awful, Awful. Give us hotels and resorts!
- SweetieWright_846 years agoSeasoned Ace@Writin_Reg & @Drago97232, I wanted hotels and resorts in this pack too but after reading your perspectives, I agree with you both. I've never lived in or near a tourist destination. My in-laws live near a ski resort, and my mother-in-law cleans the private houses there. Every winter you can bet she'll have a house that is trashed. This past season, she cleaned about 80 bags of trash out of one of the houses...just one. The rest of the season wasn't much better, it never is.
Anyway, maybe we'll get resorts and hotels in another pack of some sort. - Disappointing. Yes, but not included for good reason. I think it needs its own GP or SP to unlock its full potential. I never played sims 3, but people constantly compare it to the sims 4. Whenever I see the sims 3 it looks very plastic.
- aprilrose076 years agoSeasoned AceIt's definitely disappointing but I hope we can at the least be able to place rental lots in the world.
- I feel like hotels don’t have to always be synonymous with the tropics. It would be cool, but I would want that as a game pack or a patch. I’d much rather the team patch in the ability to own a vacation/rental property.
