Hi! I have a question. I started playing again last spring, and my game was automatically installed in my native language, which is not English. Since I prefer to play in English, I searched the Internet and found out how to change the language for the game in Origin. However, all lot names are still in my native language. Is there any way I can change those, too? I imagine it might help to reinstall the game. If I do, will I lose my saved games? I am on generation 7 of a legacy, so I'd rather live with those silly lot names if so...I'd be thankful if anyone can help me with this!

Thanks for clearing that up, @Cement. Not what I wanted to hear, but at least now I know. I did actually some while ago change all the lot names in Brindleton Bay, where my legacy family resides. Couldn't stand the awkward translations. ? Now there's just the rest of the world then...

You can only change the language of the game to the region your copy of the game is for. If you have got a version for the Russian, Polish etc. region, English won't be available. For English you need the UK, US or European version of the game.

How did you manage to change the language? Unfortunately for me it's either Polish or Czech or Russian. I can't stand the polish version, but I suppose it's tied to the region. I'd love to play in English.

Yes, @Vaida. You change it in Origin. Open Origin and select The Sims 4. Select settings and choose Game Properties. Select "Advanced Launch Options" and choose game language. It won't change lot names, but it changes the language in-game.

Yeah, exactly.

Thankfully I found a g2a cd key retail for english version and bought it, so now I can enjoy it in english. :P
