I might be harsh. but to me, if a brand don't want to translate their logo to Simlish, they should not be considered as sponsors / "colaborators" (really, they are sponsors, they pay for product placement).
They are not buying sponsorship - they are advertising their product and giving the company money to do so. In exchange their product logo is agreed to be in the game and their product line makes clothing appropriate to the style of the game. We have had advertisers in our game since at least Sims 1 - some products even advertised in numerous other EA games as well - like Coke, Fanta, T-mobile, Dr. Pepper, Ford, Toyota and lots of other brands. We also got movie related stuff as well because EA had contracts with the movies - sometimes in combination with other advertisers. None of that was ever in simlish either. It does not matter the language the game uses - as they show their brand logo period. That is how advertising works and EA gets money to show that companies logo period - as they use it. It's just how it is.
It's never been an issue all these years - as we always got something free out of it for our game and I won't have an issue with this either. It's better than having giant billboards of these products all over the game... and shirt logos - you only have to go anywhere people are gathered in real life and see all kinds of logos on shirts from all sorts of places and countries. Just because I am American does not mean I can't like or wear something from a place I've never been in a language i don't speak. It's not a big deal really at all.
If i was going to complain of language in the game then I would start by complaining about Sims obviously from various parts of the world all speaking the same language. But no one complains of that either - it crosses my mind now and then especially when I play CL or JA - but honestly that's also not a problem to me. We all play Sims but none of us write here on the forum in Simlish.... It really doesn't mean a thing.
