It seemed like the person (or persons) who created it were having a little fun with how much the community seemed to want -- no, need -- something so mundane as laundry. Just look at the self-satisfied fourth-wall-breaking smile of the female Sim while she was carrying the laundry bag.

I don't give a hoot about laundry in a video game but the trailer is going on my favorites list. :D
