I love the fact we can do laundry for our sims. (or have them do it rather) do you ever feel they are constantly doing laundry??? Or maybe my sims are just more messy. :wink: In one house, there were seven people. I actually removed the washer and dryer because that is all they did. All work and no play......you know the rest. I do like the fact that the sims do rush to put out the fires when someone (usually maid or butler) catches on fire from the machine. Do you usually place the washer and dryer into your sims' homes?

I had the washer and dryer in a household of four sims. It seemed that laundry was all I did all day. I found piles of clothes all over the house (one sim was lazy). Was also annoyed by visiting sims taking clothes out of the dryer and leaving them on surfaces. Had to move the machines behind a locked door. Won't place those infernal machines in any other house. Besides, with all the other things my sims need to do, like work and skills, who has time for housework?What annoyed me most, as with a lot of the packs, is the whims to buy stuff you don't own yet (same with watching World culture network and Civic public access). I get tired of x'ing out the whims.

I place them in my active households only, but I get you! Since seasons and the cold/hot wear my lil fam of four does laundry almost every day or other day.Idk if I am going to stick with it or take them out yet.

sometimes the nanny helps with the laundry; which is good when my lazy @$$ butler is slacking on the job LOL

If you have a Butler, make certain one of your Sims upgrades said dryer to lint-free, else you'll have a fire on the lot. :open_mouth: I found this out the hard way. My Sim was able to put out the fire, but the Butler was so very busy with the laundry (obsessed, much) that I had a hard time sneaking one of my Sims in to clean out the lint filter. :open_mouth: Yes, my Sims in that household are (not-so-filthy) rich, do you think said Butler thought she would inherit it all? :*

I tend to create a laundry/utility room for my played lots. Either in the basement or I create a utility room near the kitchen.for my larger lots I usually give them both a washer & dryer, smaller ones a washer and clothes line and for some of the tiny lots that can't afford a washer I give them the tub and line option :) :) Love laundry day - even more so now since we got seasons!

@NRowe, it is a punishment for not buying wash and wear clothing and household linens. Pray it never descends upon you and yours! :p

Once a week? Wow...I had a house with four sims, and I did laundry once, maybe twice, a DAY. And one sim was lazy, so there were piles of clothes absolutely everywhere. Even right NEXT TO the hamper!

For my family of 5 there are four laundry hampers and they probably do laundry one load every 2 to 3 days.

I have 1 hamper for every 4 sims and I do laundry once a week, twice at most. How are you guys getting such a different gameplay ?

:V Same here. Three adult sims and one hamper. Only ever get to do laundry once a week if that sometimes. I don't even make my sims do laundry they just kinda do it autonomously. If only because a clothes line seemed to fit the aesthetic for farm life because I don't care much for laundry in itself. :p

Only plus side is searching for money in the hamper.

I place a hamper in every bedroom and bathroom. When the laundry is dried, they place it on top of the machine so my sim has to "put it away" constantly.
