Personally, I decided to download again my old Sims 3 game (since the university extension is there).
I enjoy Sims 4 but most of the time when I was getting a new game, I was losing my family and all my content for no reason... I run on a Macbook pro OS El Capitan 10.11.6 (mid-2009) and my Macbook pro was one of powerful in the last decade (I was in Graphic design before). Now the new technologies and game development I feel like the video game industry is just not caring anymore about their players but only on the profit...
However, I found the situation very rude and inappropriate mostly for the young players who are still counting on their parents for paying each game extensions. A lot of parents may not understand the issue and kids too? I also paid the extension Discover University before knowing that my mac will not be supported (because of the legacy version). The game even downloading... When I got a notice to download the Legacy Edition after I pushed the play button, that pissed me off, I was shocked to know that EA NEVER announces it clearly and repeatedly on Origin (like do publicity).
I went to their EA/Facebook Sims 4 page and complaint under their new trailer. A Sims 4 Help came to talk to me and I got my refund after talking in a private message.
I still feel angry that the Realm of Magic and Living Island will not be getting bugs fixes or any updates anymore. I bought them 1-2 months ago... Damn it.
