It might get a lot of simmers over their addiction temporarily though, study a bit more and start saving for a new machine. I had to for Sims 1,2 and 3.
Hm... I am playing offline because I do not want to patch my game again when I just got my CC and mods checked out. That is how I usually play anyways. Download a new EP or GP on my husband's computer. Check all the stuff on his computer while mine is offline. If it all works then update my game on my computer and go offline when there is a new patch. I stay offline for several months sometimes if there is nothing new coming out.
