Let Us -Choose- Our Sims' Favorites, Please!

Seriously, I just had a particular Sim get a super unfitting favorite drink: Water. I'm not even kidding. Just water. And this Sim has the Dance Machine trait! And it certainly doesn't help that Sims are perfectly capable of having the pet medicine or plasma jane as their favorite, even though these drinks make them sick! In general, I think a better favorites mechanic is in order. We can already have our Sims declare a favorite movie genre. Why not allow for something like this with other things? When having a drink, they could declare it to be their favorite drink. When they eat something, they could declare it to be their favorite food. When listening to a music station, they could declare it to be their favorite music genre. And when they have their favorite drinks, eat their favorite food, or listen to their favorite music, they could get a strong happy moodlet from doing so.

    Yeah, that would be great. They could have a favourite activity and a favourite type of communal lot to visit.

    Heck, just give us the option to pick favorites in CAS like TS3. Oh, and add dislikes to the dynamic, so we can give our sims most hated foods, drinks, music, etc.

    ...Dang, when it comes to constructing our sims' personalities, CAS in TS4 is a real step back from TS2 and TS3...

    I really hope they change the whole personality system soon. Sims don't feel different to me at all.

    If you don't use mods, this won't be helpful to you. But for those who do use mods:

    In MC Command Center, there is an option to choose a favorite drink. MC Command Center -> MC CAS -> Select Favorite Drink.

    The list of drinks to choose from isn't complete (or perhaps, it's user error on my part). However, some choice is better than none at all, eh?

    I think it only lets you choose level one skill drinks or something like that.

    Either way, it’s handy when some sim/alien chooses to love Plasma Janes or whatever that pet drink is. Maybe one day I’ll be able to keep the withered stomach vampires from ordering from food stands. I got to watch Lilith Vatore puke right in front of the stand and then go back for more, and a different one had learned like 80% of the food stand recipes when I switched back to her.

    Only first level drinks.... Ah, thanks for the explanation. I thought that there might have been a conflict with the custom drinks that I have and MCCC. Whew!
