I get what you're saying, but patch notes exist for the reason, so we know the changes made to our game. It's also very important for modders and content creators to know, not just players.
Yeah. If you really want changes to be a surprise, then avoid reading the patch notes or something. Personally I find vague patch notes incredibly grating - with any game, not just The Sims. There's a number of reasons why knowing exactly what's been tweaked/is new can be helpful to a player.
