I think it's a good conversation. There is nothing toxic about masculinity. My dad always told me there are two types of people in this world. Good human and bad human. Everything else like you're gender, Your color, your whatever is obsolete. He told me as you go through life you obseve the difference between right and wrong good and bad and choose which type of human being you want to be. All of these terms people come up with like toxic masculinity only farther divides people and I think we should always be searching for common ground and ways we can come together in a positive manner as human beings. If you are beating your wife that has nothing to do with being a man. You're just a bad human because a real man would cherish his wife.
That said, I do think this game lacks in masculinity and pushes for more of what is considered the "modern man"
Me loving a good old fashioned manly manly it's hard not to notice. And even if this game is aimed more at girls and gay people I wonder, do girls and gay people not also like manly men?
Certainly many of them do?
1: How do you define masculine?
I define it in ways that people now consider archaic. The opposite of everything that makes girls girly. Girls are soft, sweet, soft hearted, soft spoken, graceful, obedient, mindful of her manners and words, mindful of modesty and behavior.
The manly man is rugged, powerful, fearless or brave, overprotective, jealous, and just the opposite of girly. They rescue damsels in distress and they look cool doing it ?
(Yes I know there are many types of people with many different personalities. But for the sake of this thread I'm just talking about classic girly girls and manly men.
And yes I am aware that many consider this way of being outdated but it doesn't matter. I'm just honestly answering the question.)
2: What does your masculine sim like to do?
I usually have my masculine sims using the wood working table or repairing something but I don't feel there is much to do for a manly man. I created my own role playing factory job and use cheats to give out pay.
3: What career would your masculine sim like
My masculine sims would absolutely love an active wood chopping career and a construction career! Would love a heavy labor factory career and anything else they can do to work those muscles! Lol
4: What would your masculine sim like to wear?I'm pretty open when it comes to men's fashion I think they look good in such a wide variety of things. But some rugged torn clothes would be excellent.
5: Does your masculine sim have/want body hair? yes they have cc body hair. Official body hair would be great!
I would like add that a few manly traits would be great. I love to create manly men that are serious, stoic and manly and it's hard to do without imagination because they act so out of character and smile constantly when idle. One reason I never use most romantic interactions is because the flamboyantness of them all throws my stoic male sim way out of character. Which is why I'm not even crazy about getting a romance pack. If everything looks so silly I wouldn't be using it anyway.
