I'm a 52 year old straight male, and in real life, I've always gotten along much better with women than guys---a big part of that is because men in general tend to have pre-concieved notions about what masculinity is, and I don't subscribe to that.
The reason I bring that up is because my viewpoints directly affect how I create male sims. My game mostly revolves around female sims, and when I do create a male sim, it's usually for comedic purposes. Sometimes I'll even create male sims that are ridiculously masculine (at least the generally accepted version of what that is), but it's done entirely in sarcastic fashion, to poke fun at it.
Once in a great while I'll create a male sim that isn't for comedic purposes---when I do, masculinity is not even a part of my thought process. Instead, he's just someone that I think looks cool. As for dress, I dunno....maybe a tshirt and jeans?
